Register for this Class

Students will explore and form book club groups that will read and discuss new and old classic grade-level appropriate books of different genres. Students will practice decoding large words and obtain accurate reading, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension skills through teacher coaching. Students will focus on specific reading skills and critical comprehension of various concepts, and practice writing skills with extended responses through book discussions. Additionally, students will share personal discussion and ratings of books chosen. The class centers on helping anyone needing intervention, reinforcement, or a challenge with reading.
